Launch of SSS, SDC, KES, BL, Entrepreneurial and Incubation Centre and Womentorship for High Flyers Batch 2022-24
Education, in today’s world is not just teaching and learning within the four walls of a classroom. It is about creating awareness and sowing the seeds of creativity, innovation and idea generation among students. Student Centric Activities at AIMIT is one such platform which aims at inculcating new skill sets amongst the students.
The program stated with the invocation song and welcome address by Prof. Rashmi N. The launch of different cells with the briefing session was done by the faculty coordinators.
The launch of Students Seminar Series (SSS) cell and Entrepreneurship and Incubation Centre was done by Prof. Rashmi.N, faculty coordinator for SSS Cell and EIC by presenting an overview of the objectives and activities of the cell. The Student Development Cell (SDC) for MBA class 2022-2024 HIGHFLIERS was launched. Prof. Seema Benakatti and Prof. Rishikesh, faculty coordinator for SDC briefed about the objectives of the cell and how the activities of the cell would add value to the learning process.
The launch of Knowledge Exchange Series Cell was done and Prof. Rashmi N explained the highlights of the cell and its role in building a gap between industry and academia. Later Prof. Spoorthi S Kumar, Coordinator of Business Lab shared the idea behind inaugurating the Business Lab which is to inculcate knowledge and need-based work skills so that the post-graduates of the college find themselves prepared for employment and self-employment avenues as and when required. In order to accomplish this task, we have incorporated practical aspects of the subject so the students may involve in experiential learning which is vital in the present business world.
As an institution, at the forefront of knowledge enrichment and dissemination of knowledge, catering to the academic needs of over 440 students, the business lab has put in place enormous knowledge resources.
A well-equipped and state-of-the-art lab with updated technology is one of the strongest assets of the institution. Practical sessions provide authentic and current knowledge to every budding entrepreneur. The college takes pride in its labs that harbour’s favourable nurturing ground for personal growth, research, and social progress.
The launch of Womentorship was done by Prof. Seema Benakatti & Prof. Spoorthi – Femtors of Womentorship with a brief explanation on how mentoring impact the course of students’ academic and personal life trajectories.
Later on the faculty coordinators distributed the appointment letters to the student coordinators of all the cells. The program was formally concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Seema Benakatti.
