Dr T Lakshmi Narayan has been continuously serving in many schools as an art teacher for three decades. In this way, he has trained the students of art students at the best level and motivated them to participate in many programs and forums at the state level. Through painting, literature, story writing, playwriting, acting, etc., He has succeeded in instilling in them a passion for learning. Many economically and socially backward students have benefited from this positive benefit. Thus, being recognized and constantly involved in the art world, He have been heavily involved in many creative fields like literature, music, teaching, theatre, acting, film, direction, journalism etc. For that he has been praised and honoured by many dignitaries of the country.

Kannada Rajyotsava is celebrated on November 1st every year to commemorate the formation of the state of Karnataka in India. On this day, people gather to honor the official language, culture, and heritage of Karnataka. The celebration involves various activities, performances, and cultural programs that showcase the richness of the state.

Adarsh Institute of Management & Information Technology organized the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration event on 30th November 2023. The Event commenced with Flag hoisting by Chief Guest, Principal, and Management of AIMIT, Our Director and Principal of AIMIT spoke about Karnataka state, language, culture, people, etc.,. and he has informed everyone to protect our mother tongue and teach others as well. The Cultural activities like dances from students which were entertained the crowd.

Objective:

This report aims to provide a detailed overview of the Kannada Rajyotsava Day celebration, including the cultural programs, and the significance of the event in promoting Kannada language and heritage.

Key activities performed:

Flag hoisting ceremony: The main event typically begins with the hoisting of the Karnataka flag by Chief guest and Director & Principal of AIMIT. The flag symbolizes the unity and pride of the Kannadigas (people of Karnataka).

Cultural programs: Various cultural performances and programs are organized to showcase the diversity and elegance of Karnataka’s arts. These may include traditional dances like Yakshagana, Veera Gase, and Bharatanatyam, as well as folk songs and classical music performances. The Chief guest spoke the history of Kannada(Halle Kannada) from 4th century from Vijaya dynasty.

The Quiz was organised for all the students & faculty members which highlighted the celebration. The questions covered from Kannada history, culture, tribal areas & many more.

Conclusion: The Kannada Rajyotsava Day celebration is a grand event that showcases Karnataka’s rich cultural heritage, language, and traditions. Through various activities, performances, and exhibitions, it brings together the people of Karnataka to celebrate their unity and preserve their identity. This event serves as a platform to promote Kannada language and culture, reinforcing the significance of Kannada Rajyotsava in the hearts of all Kannadigas.
