A Report on ‘Jeevamrutha’ - 2023
A Blood donation camp under the title ‘Jeevamrutha’ was organized by Rotaract Club of AIMIT, in collaboration with Rashtrotthana Blood Centre, Kempegowda Nagar, Bengaluru . It was an effort to motivate students to come forward and donate for the noble cause. 86 units of blood were donated by Adarsh Institute of Management and Information Technology staff members, including the principal, faculty, and students.
The camp was formally inaugurated at 10.30am by Dr. Venkataraman R, director and principal, and Mr. Chandrashekar, a social worker who represented Rashtrotthana Blood Institute, in front of students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. An orientation programme offered to donors before to the blood donation camp by Rashtrotthana centre staff members, students were informed about the dos and don’ts for during blood donation as well as the requirements to qualify for blood donation.
The AIMIT Lobby space was chosen for the Camp because it is well-lit, airy, and roomy. Based on the specifications provided by the blood bank staff, our student volunteers set up a well-organized donation station in the designated area.
Refreshments were provided to donors after their blood donations, and at the valedictory ceremony, certificates were given out to each donor. The Camp was successfully organized by Prof. Vasudha Srivatsa, Rotaract Coordinator of AIMIT along with Rotaract Club student President, Mr. Shashank along with other Rotaracters.
