CII REPORT- KARNATAKA @ 2047, INDIA @ 100 - VISIONING EXERCISE
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a non-governmental trade association & advocacy group headquartered in New Delhi. CII engages in business, political, academics, & others leaders of society to shape global, regional, & industry agendas.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), along with its Knowledge Partner Boston Consulting Group (BCG), is working on ‘India@100’, an initiative to build the vision of India after 100 years of independence. As a part of the visioning exercise, inputs from across businesses, academics, government, youth, society, and other relevant stakeholders are being compiled to build the vision of Karnataka State in 2047, while ensuring equal voice for all age groups, genders and all strata of the society. The meeting was held virtually (Via Zoom Meeting) on 06/Feb/2023. On discussion CII Spokesperson Mr Ajith George has highlighted Karnataka’s GDP growth and climate change in Bengaluru especially how the garden city transformed to Silicon Valley & IT capital of India.
Various institutes across Karnataka have participated and put forth views on developments in Value added courses like AI, Analytics, & how sports as a carrier in curriculum see changes. Questions were asked during sessions are..

For the questions asked on Karnataka’s future Mr. Syed Nadeem of AIMIT has replied to panel members “Karnataka is known for farming sector & Bengaluru (capital city of karnataka) is the IT Hub of India.
There have been a lot of political leaders who have contributed towards Farming, HD Devegowda (Former Prime Minister of India) is the best example who have contributed more towards Farming sector, Devegowda not only promoted Farming in karnataka but also in all over India. So we being the youth of the country we have to select a good leader and send them to the Parliament and Assembly so that good decisions are taken for the future of Karnataka”.
Overall the session has put forth views in Key sector development of the country which are essential in building the new aspiration and more focus on Agriculture, sports and rural development.
