Awareness One Nation, One Tax, One Market – Understanding GST"
Finance club of AIMIT VA₹DHAN organized an Awareness Program on “One Tax, One Nation, One Market – Understanding GST” on 2nd July 2026 at 3:00 PM in the AIMIT Auditorium. The program was coordinated by Prof. Rishikeshav and Prof. Rashmi N with enthusiastic participation from students across various departments.The session focused on creating awareness about the implementation and significance of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), India’s comprehensive indirect tax reform.




The coordinators explained the concept of “One Tax, One Nation, One Market”, highlighting how GST has simplified the indirect taxation system, eliminated cascading taxes, promoted ease of doing business, and strengthened the unified national market. A major attraction of the program was a student-performed skit that creatively demonstrated the taxation system before and after the implementation of GST. Through engaging dialogues, relatable examples, and effective role-play, the students explained complex GST concepts in a simple and entertaining manner.The interactive session concluded with a discussion where students clarified their doubts regarding GST registration, tax structure, input tax credit, and its impact on consumers and businesses. Overall, the program successfully enhanced financial literacy and awareness about one of India’s most significant economic reforms.
