World Environment Day 2026

On 5 June 2026, the Day Celebration Club (DCC) of Adarsh Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) organized a World Environment Day Celebration to promote environmental awareness and encourage sustainable practices among students. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. R. Venkataraman, Director & Principal, with Prof. Rishikeshav and Prof. Harshitha M. serving as the program coordinators.

The event emphasized the importance of environmental conservation through a Natural Color Painting Competition, where participants created artworks using naturally extracted colors obtained from flowers, leaves, vegetables, and other eco-friendly materials.

The competition encouraged students to explore sustainable alternatives while expressing their creativity. Demonstrating innovation and commitment to environmental responsibility, several participants used boiled rice as a natural adhesive instead of synthetic glue, aligning their work with the principles of eco-friendly living. The paintings beautifully depicted themes such as nature conservation, biodiversity, pollution control, water conservation, and the protection of natural resources.

As part of the celebration, all faculty members and students took an Environmental Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to protecting the environment, conserving resources, reducing pollution, and adopting sustainable practices in their daily lives. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and successfully fostered environmental consciousness, creativity, and a sense of collective responsibility towards building a greener and more sustainable future.
