Yuva World No Tobacco Day Walkathon 2026
On the occasion of World, No Tobacco Day 2026, Aster Whitefield Hospital, in association with Yi Bengaluru and Aster Volunteers, organized a 3-km Walkathon on 30 May 2026 to raise awareness about the harmful effects of tobacco and promote a healthy, tobacco-free lifestyle. The event witnessed active participation from healthcare professionals, students, volunteers, and members of the public.
The Walkathon was flagged off by Mrs. Reena Suvarna, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Whitefield Division, who attended as the Chief Guest and encouraged participants to support tobacco-control initiatives.





Following the Walkathon, awareness sessions were conducted by experts from the Departments of Oncology, Pulmonology, Psychiatry, and Dentistry, highlighting the health risks associated with tobacco use and the importance of prevention and cessation.
The event served as an effective platform for spreading awareness, encouraging healthy habits, and fostering community engagement in public health initiatives. Through collective participation and expert guidance, the programme successfully conveyed the message of living a tobacco-free life and contributing towards a healthier society.
