Dr. Uma Devi Ananth is an accomplished academician and industry professional with over 22 years of diverse experience—comprising 6 years in the corporate sector and 16 years in academia. Her career is marked by unwavering passion, a deep sense of responsibility, and consistent initiative across teaching, research, industry-institute collaborations, curriculum development, and academic administration.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from BMS College of Engineering, followed by an MBA and Ph.D. in Management from Bangalore University. Dr. Uma Ananth began her professional journey as a software engineer at Dynacs Engineering Ltd., later gaining industry experience at TVS Electronics and Honeysoft Technologies. Her transition to academia began at Dayananda Sagar Institutions and has spanned reputed institutions such as Bangalore University, Karnatak University, Bangalore City University, AMC-City Group of Institutions, and currently, Adarsh Institute of Management. At Adarsh, she serves as Professor and Chairperson – HR & Analytics, Vice President of the Institute Innovation Council, and Curator of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell. Dr.Uma Ananth specializes in Business Analytics and Human Resource Management. She teaches advanced courses in Business Intelligence, Predictive Analytics, R Programming, SAS, and Tableau, alongside Strategic Management, Organisational Behaviour, and HRM. Prof. Vasudha Srivatsa is a well-rounded educationist with academic and industry experience. Her educational background includes a Master's degree in Business Administration in finance from VTU, and she is currently pursuing Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Before beginning her academic journey, she worked at KPMG and State Street Indian Pvt. Ltd in the field of finance. Her experience in the industry gives her a unique perspective on the subject matter she teaches, as she has practical experience in the application of financial theories and concepts.
Ms. Vasudha’s research interests lie in financial markets and investment management, and she has presented several research papers at national and international conferences. Additionally, she is a part-time trader at NSE and has conducted training sessions on 'introduction to Stock market' organized by Hollyhock India, HR, and Entrepreneurial Service for working professionals and students. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in the MBA Department, Adarsh Institute of Management and Information Technology, Bengaluru. He has six years of experience in research and seven years of experience in teaching. He has published four books titled “Production and Operations Research”, “Rural and Green Marketing” “Integrated marketing communication and digital marketing” and “Accounting for Managers” He has published 8 research articles in the Scopus indexed journal and 2 research article in UGC Care listed Journal and he published 7 articles in national and international journals. He was presented various research papers in the national and international seminars / conferences. He worked in Editorial Team as an Assistant Editor for e-journal Publication “Paradigm Drift in Business Theory and Practices” (ISBN: 978-81-931500-2-3). He has worked as a NAAC coordinator and hands on experience in assisting the NAAC accreditation committee during his tenure at various other institutions. He also interested to the opportunity to take up leadership roles and responsibilities with good teamwork competencies in the institution.
