Venture Vista – Entrepreneurship Club
The Venture Vista – Entrepreneurship Club of Adarsh Institute of Management and Information Technology (AIMIT) organized a Workshop on Business Model Canvas on 21 July 2026 at the AIMIT Lobby from 2:00 PM onwards. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Rashmi N and Prof. Suresh S. Patil with the objective of equipping MBA students with the knowledge and practical skills required to transform innovative business ideas into sustainable business models.

The session commenced with an introduction to entrepreneurship and the significance of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a globally recognized framework for designing, analyzing, and validating business ideas. The coordinators explained each of the nine components of the Business Model Canvas—Customer Segments, Value Proposition, Channels, Customer Relationships, Revenue Streams, Key Resources, Key Activities, Key Partnerships, and Cost Structure—using practical examples from successful startups and established organizations.
To provide experiential learning, participants were divided into teams and assigned the task of developing innovative business ideas. Each team prepared its own Business Model Canvas by identifying target customers, defining value propositions, planning revenue models, estimating costs, and outlining operational strategies. The faculty coordinators actively interacted with the students, offering guidance and constructive feedback to help them refine their business concepts.
The workshop was highly interactive, with students enthusiastically participating in brainstorming sessions, group discussions, and presentations. The activity encouraged creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and entrepreneurial decision-making while providing students with practical exposure to business planning methodologies.
The session concluded with presentations by the student teams, followed by a feedback session in which the faculty coordinators highlighted the strengths of each business model and suggested improvements. The workshop successfully enhanced students’ understanding of entrepreneurship and business model development, inspiring them to pursue innovative ideas with a structured and strategic approach.
